South-West wines

Land of history and gastronomy, the South West is also full of exceptional, singular and varied wines. The heterogeneity of soils, influence of the oceanic climate, reliefs and rivers that cross the territory (Lot, Garonne, Dordogne, Gers, Tarn ...) explain the variety and the high quality of the wines produced there.

The important efforts made in recent years and decades by the winemakers in the cultivation of their vines and in the winemaking have only favored this qualitative production. For this third edition, our guide explores new vineyards: Bergerac, Duras, Cahors, Gaillac, Buzet and Fronton have been "joined" by these lands of tradition that are regions of Brulhois, Armagnac and Côtes de Gascogne.

cave olt 1

Vinovalie symbolises the union of 3 wine-producing areas: Gaillac, Fronton and Cahors. The Cave des Côtes d’Olt cooperative cellar covers 900 hectares (2,225 acres) of vines and makes the wines of well-known properties, such as Château des Bouysses and Château les Rigalets. We vinify the local Malbec grape variety. Free tastings of a wide range of wines are offered by friendly, very customer-focussed staff!
