South-West wines

Land of history and gastronomy, the South West is also full of exceptional, singular and varied wines. The heterogeneity of soils, influence of the oceanic climate, reliefs and rivers that cross the territory (Lot, Garonne, Dordogne, Gers, Tarn ...) explain the variety and the high quality of the wines produced there.

The important efforts made in recent years and decades by the winemakers in the cultivation of their vines and in the winemaking have only favored this qualitative production. For this third edition, our guide explores new vineyards: Bergerac, Duras, Cahors, Gaillac, Buzet and Fronton have been "joined" by these lands of tradition that are regions of Brulhois, Armagnac and Côtes de Gascogne.

Le château puise ses racines au plus profond de l’histoire de France. Après la révocation de l’Édit de Nantes, les protestants émigrèrent en Hollande et firent commerce avec les meilleurs crus de Monbazillac. La marque hollandaise « Eyma » dont est issu le Château Vignal La Brie était l’une des plus réputées. Aujourd’hui, notre fils Pierre nous rejoint et contribuera à perpétuer la tradition familiale de qualité de nos vins de Bergerac, Monbazillac et Pécharmant.
